I think the best time is spring and autumn, especially to avoid the heat. The information I have gathered says that flamingos are sedentary and therefore always observable. I had never seen them until that day and they fascinated me, beautiful colors.

This dirt path runs alongside the Reno river on one side and the Comacchio valleys on the other where large groups of splendid flamingos can be spotted. This place is a great location to take a photo and admire these wonderful birds.

flamingos are generally quite distant and as soon as you get close they run away in a big way. They must be seen with binoculars and photographed with a telephoto lens (at least a 400)
