If one of the main road is too monotonous, and you are "good terrain and mountain-suitable", you can dare a detour echer through the Riesewohld.
You could even extend this little detour to another detour to Fünffingerlinde, but this did not fit into our tour.
However, someone who is not "off-road and mountain capable", I would advise to stay on the main road.

The Riesewohld is a forest of around 700 ha in the district of Dithmarschen, Schleswig-Holstein. The forest is still unusually close to the state of a real jungle for German conditions. It is the largest forest area in Dithmarschen.
