In the meantime, the observation tower has been completely dismantled due to various construction defects. Only the base can be seen. A new construction of the tower is planned, but a detour here is still worthwhile.

Beautiful mountain with a very beautiful observation tower with an excellent panoramic view, snack hut and toilet in the neighboring building. Ideal for hiking or biking.

Mountain in the Steigerwald (district of Schweinfurt) - 480 m above sea level - Zabelstein Castle - observation tower - transmission tower

Arduous climb (5 km - 220 meters in altitude), towards the end it gets very tough. But it's worth it. Great panoramic view that shouldn't be missed.
