The Düvelstein about 1.8 billion years old also known as the Devil's Stone, is located at Großkönigsförde in the municipality Lindau in the district Rendsburg-Eckernförde. It is the largest boulder in Schleswig-Holstein. With its approximately 180 tons, about 3.75 meters in height, 6 meters in length, 4.5 meters in width and a circumference of about 18 meters, it is the largest boulder in Schleswig-Holstein.

According to legend, the devil wanted to prevent the construction of the church in Gettorf and threw this large boulder from Felmer Berg towards the tower. But God blocked the stone so that it only brushed against the tower, which means that it is now crooked. The devil sculpture in Gettorf and the information board next to it are reminders of history.
On flat:
"With a big boulder from Felmer Barg, the Düvel wanted to rent Karktorm to us in two. For God's sake, that didn't mean anything to us. So the boulder then brushed against Karktorm and flew into the Königsför. From the Tied, Karktorm is beyond us."

And the boulder landed right here. ;)
