The Wennigser water bikes are a popular destination in the Hanover region.

Families with children in particular have been visiting the lovingly designed area on the Bröhn since 1957 and marvel at the many colorful miniature water mills along the Feldberg spring.

Numerous water-operated miniature water mills are set up along a path of around 100 meters. These small models, the drive of which is realized by the lifting energy of the water dammed up in many stages, show portraits of the childlike world of fairy tales and legends, as well as symbols of fantasy.

The models can be seen around the clock in the Deister. There is no entrance fee. At the foot of the waterwheels is a donation box with which you can support the work of the association.

The waterwheels are traditionally opened on the last weekend in April and dismantled on the last Friday in September. You can reach the water wheels e.g. via the parking lot "Wennigsen Waldkater". From there, you have to walk about 3 km.

The "Hobby Community of Wennigser Wasserräder e.V." is a non-profit association that maintains the models with great commitment and also takes care of the maintenance of the site.

Thanks to volunteer work, the Wennigser water bikes can be visited every year from the end of April to the end of September.

Admission is free. With a contribution in the donation box, visitors contribute to the support of the association's work and the maintenance of the water wheels.
