In the last third it becomes very annoying to continue climbing the 700 meter scree field with the enormous gradient. The via ferrata is great but I don't know if it's worth this climb.

On the descent, the scree field is quite manageable, especially if you choose the right grit. On the ascent, the description on bergsteigen.com seems appropriate: "The approach on foot (steep scree) is only recommended for absolute masochists."

If you prefer to do the via ferrata from north to south, it's a nice loop.
