Baarle, the most remarkable village in the world.

30 pieces of Belgium and the Netherlands that are intertwined. On the map it is called Baarle-Nassau and Baarle-Hertog. A village, unique in its duality: two municipal councils with two mayors and two schools. But with one population, which, with its two nationalities, goes hand in hand. The municipalities of Baarle Nassau and Baarle Hertog have a total of 30 enclaves. The territory of both municipalities is intertwined, especially in the core of Baarle. There are 22 exclaves of Baarle-Hertog in Baarle-Nassau and eight exclaves of Baarle-Nassau in Baarle-Hertog. A number of these Dutch exclaves again form enclaves within the Belgian enclaves in the Netherlands.
