Only a few kilometers away from the cities of Oldenburg, Bremen and Vechta you can enjoy an enchanting mixture of beech, oak and pine forests. Lakes, ponds and romantic river courses, moors, sand dunes and heath areas delight the eye. And in between, in the middle of nature and in the small villages of the region, mystical walls and graves from the Stone Age and the Middle Ages, but also water and windmills with their idyllic mill ponds convey a special atmosphere.
