Since the Waldhaus closed and quite dilapidated, we were glad to have discovered the sign for Waldschänke and have taken the 100 m walk to us to strengthen our bourgeois.

Alternatives can be found in Schöna at the "Zirkelstein" inn (open only during the season and quite busy during peak times) and as a simple snack at the "Dorfladen" (village shop), if it's open (currently closed until further notice).

Inquire about opening times in advance. It is only opened sporadically. In my case it was closed due to illness.
