Almost hidden by foliage and trees, a remainder of the Ummigsbach viaduct built before the Second World War can be found near the monastery complex.
In the last days of the war, the Ummigsbach viaduct was destroyed by the German Wehrmacht to prevent the US soldiers from crossing.
An abruptly rising pillar or arch of this bridge reminds of the destruction of the Second World War.

Nice little departure. Narrow trail, which is overgrown right and left high. Cool feeling because of driving. As a highlight, the small trail ends at a stream. Depending on the weather, even a small technical challenge to pass through this. But absolutely feasible. At the end you will be rewarded with the view of the old, destroyed bridge.
