The town of Bois Plage had 13 mills in the last century, a large number of them were built between 1596 and 1599.

By taking the many cycle paths, you pass in front of several mills.

That of Bellère was created in 1674. Following the storm of 1978, the mill was restored by its owner. He is the only one to have kept his wings, the others own a significant part of their building.

A few mills have disappeared, such as the mill of the ten Menuteau, or the Moulin Gaillard and those demolished after 1843, have left a mark on the cadastre, the two Beauvoir mills (also called mill of the favorite), of the tip….

A mill includes, in addition to its tower or arbor, a residential building with 3 bedrooms, a stable, a cellar with its winch and a garden with a meadow.

The mill cannot be visited (it is private property).
