The Floating Kei can be found near Dalfsen station. The work consists of a large boulder that balances on a fragment of a classical column.

In the boulder a round hole can be seen with the same diameter as the pillar element, which makes it look like it has been sawn out. This is optical illusion. The whole is a construction of steel and concrete. Smaller boulders are scattered around it. Bas Maters has placed the work on an artificially created grassy hill from which one has a view of the surroundings. He wanted the work to become one with nature and to give the impression of a primordial thing. At the same time it is a meeting place and a landmark.
