The Eyendorfer windmill was built in 1897 and the last time it was carefully renovated in 2019. Contrary to their original use, couples in love today have the opportunity to say "yes" at this unusual location. The "Association for the Conservation of the Eyendorfer Windmill" also offers guided tours of the mill by prior arrangement.

The Eyendorfer windmill from 1897 is operated by the "Association for the Conservation of Eyendorf Windmill e.V." as a museum mill. It is part of the Niedersachsen mill street.

Rotational motion through wind rose
The still in operation Erd-Holländerwindmühle in Eyendorf was built in 1897. In contrast to the German Bockwindmühle, in which the whole house rotatably rests on a pin, the Dutch windmill only the hood is turned into the wind. In most mills of this type, the rotation is automatically triggered by a wind rose or as here by a double-wind rose.
