The following has been handed down about the "Elwetritsche socket": In fact, it seems to be an ancient Elwetritsche washing area. Presumably these lovely but absolutely shy animals have used this topographically favorable place in the vicinity for their peculiar washing rituals. Sufficient water is available at the nearby Lourdes grotto, but the animals have moved to the more pleasant place due to the hillside location there. As known, the Elwetritsche are nocturnal, but extremely light wunnerfizzich. This in turn would explain the presence of the socket, which would allow suitable lighting fixtures to be operated at night without further ado.
The socket itself was also used for hygienic purposes more than a quarter of a century ago by the unforgettable hiking guide Kilian Z. Back then he had already demonstrated the functionality of the socket to the amazed guests by taking his morning shave with his razor in the idyllic place.
Measurements by the local electrician journeyman showed a voltage of 223 VHC (Volt Hawwer Current) at 89 Hertz.
