The Museum of Poverty

The Moormuseum Moordorf is one of the idiosyncratic museums in northwestern Germany and has therefore become an attraction especially for leisure travelers. It is one of the most visited museums in East Frisia. The "Museum of Poverty", as it is also called, represents the difficult 200-year development history of an East Frisian bog landscape in an unspoilt moor landscape.

The museum is maintained by the association Moormuseum Moordorf e. V., who cordially invites you to become a member.

You should take some time here and, above all, take a tour. In July and August it takes place every day without registration at 11:15 a.m. Cost 3 euros extra to the entrance fee, it's really worth it.
