Marienwerder Monastery is an Augustinian convent in the Marienwerder district in the north-west of Hanover. The monastery church, built around 1200 in the Romanesque style as a basilica, is the oldest church in Hanover.
Today the fortune and the buildings of the monastery are administered by the Hanover Monastery Chamber. The convent of the monastery in 2014 consisted of four women and one abbess. Since 2014 there has been a new model of age-appropriate support, a residential center with outpatient care and associated day care.
The monastery church is also used by the Marienwerder parish.
