The Bad Friedrichshall salt mine is still an active mining operation and is therefore not open to visitors every day.
From October 4, 2018, the visitor mine will be closed for the winter season up to and including April 18, 2019.
In 2019 visitor entries will take place as follows:
April 19 through October 6, 2019 inclusive
only on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays
from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (last entry)
June 14 through July 26, 2019
additionally on Fridays at the same time
The last exit from the salt mine is at 5:30 p.m.
