The emergence, heyday, change and decline of the ironworks and machine factory can only be traced in Mägdesprung today. In 1999, the city of Harzgerode leased facilities, buildings and existing machines and has since tried to preserve this place of regional industrial history and make it accessible to the public. The machine hall and the documentation on the upper floor have been open to visitors for two years.
The Carlswerk is a technical museum. The lower floor has been preserved in the same condition as it was on the last working day. Just looking through the window arouses curiosity.
