Reichenow Castle was built from 1897 to 1900 for August Freiherr von Eckardstein as the manor house of what was then the Reichenow estate. It is currently being used again as a hotel and restaurant.
The manor house with its battlements on the walls was built between 1897 and 1900, was badly hit in the Second World War, and was used, among other things, for the primary school during the GDR era. Today Brandenburg's red eagle flies again on the castle tower, now the "Hotel Schloss Reichenow with restaurant" is here.
Coffee and cake tasted very good and the ambience was right. I hope Schloss Reichenow will soon be open to the public again. A tour in this corner is also worthwhile.
