As in the Middle Ages. The church as the center point and around it the small houses and stables as well as the wall and moat. This is also where the annual Christmas market takes place, which is small but worth seeing and is set up both outdoors and in the small houses.

Insider tip, typical Medieval town center. One likes to drive past without discovering the medieval core and the fortified church. Had a concert in the church during the Christmas market. One of the most beautiful Christmas markets I know. It's worth a visit. A detour from Maulbronn too.
