The Fohlenhaus is a walk-in cave and is located close to the Lone between Langenau, Bernstadt and Neenstetten in the Alb-Donau district. The cave got its name from the arrangement of the two cave mouths in a nearly 20 meter high rock, which, with a little imagination, reveals a foal.

In front of these two small caves there is a shelter and a barbecue area, making the place perfect for a rest in the green. Incidentally, this rock formation has the name Fohlenhaus because it looks like a foal on closer inspection.

The foal house is one of the 4 caves in the Lone Valley that were inhabited by humans in the Stone Age. Together with the Bockstein Cave and the Hohlen Stein it is freely accessible and parts of it can also be entered. Only the Vogelherd cave, as part of the Archäopark, is chargeable.
