Scenically very attractive section of the Alte Heerstraße, which is a regional cultural heritage and soil monument in the Taunus. It runs from the banks of the Lahn in Villmar over the Galgenberg, past the refuge, further along the edge of the forest to Laubus-Eschbach. Information boards point out the history of this ancient street.

Very scenic, but be careful! Only recommended in the dry season with an off-road bike.

It stretches for kilometers along the edge of the forest.
You practically always have a beautiful view of the valley.
The path is mostly natural, i.e. dirt and grass, and is not easy to ride when wet.
