Located in the heart of the Iraty Forest, the Bagargui Pass is reached via a beautiful 28-kilometer climb from Saint-Jean-le-Vieux. The climb averages 4%, with peaks reaching 11%. At the pass, you'll find the famous Iraty chalets and a grocery store for supplies.
From Larrau on narrow and steep mountain road with lots of views over meadow slopes up to the station de Ski at 1327 m. The actual Col Organbideska can be reached after a short descent.
From Larrau, the pass begins with a descent ... Then the percentages increase slightly (4%, 6%, 6%) before becoming quite severe (from memory 9.5, 12, 13, 12.5 and 11). If we add that the ascent is done without the slightest tree to shelter from the sun, that gives a very trying pass! I almost forgot to appreciate the scenery: /
