A highlight of a visit to: metabolon is next to the spectacular 360 ° view from the viewing platform of the cone point certainly the 110m long double slide, the longest of its kind in Germany.

After you have made the steep climb to the viewing platform and there has gained a good overview of the location and the surrounding Bergisches Land, it goes down the slide back down to the extracurricular learning place.

Here starts the second, curved slide, which is also a highlight for our younger guests.

The slides are only in dry weather

open. The curved slide is released for children from 3 years and the double slide from the age of 8 years. Use at your own risk!

The longest double slide in Germany is open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 14:00 to 18:00. During the holidays in addition daily in the time of 13:00 - 17:00 clock.

To my knowledge, the Metabolon is the highest elevation in the district. Lots of interesting, partly animated, information about waste and disposal. There are many, many steps to the top that finally reward you with a great view when the weather is nice. If you still want to let off steam, you can jump on the trampoline or simply relax. If you feel like it, you can use a small summer toboggan run on the descent, which is not always open, or take the stairs down. It is also worth taking a look to the right and left of the stairs and their play options. If you like, you can linger in the café downstairs. There are also some school classes on site or bikers in the lower bike park.
