        Worth a visit. For the current price of €12 per adult, there is a lot to marvel at. Many of the exhibits can be touched/encouraged. There are also daily demonstrations of various objects. You can find out what is taking place on which day on the Internet or you can get the information at the ticket office.

          The TECHNOSEUM (formerly known as the State Museum for Technology and Work) in Mannheim, with its unusual architecture, is considered to be groundbreaking for modern museum construction. The sloping levels of the all-white building, completed in 1990, give the impression that the building itself is in motion.
          Various exhibition units illustrate the technical and social change from the 18th century to the present day. This historical foray starts at the top level and leads chronologically down in a "space-time spiral".

            An absolutely recommendable museum, not only to look but also to participate and thus learn better.
            This weekend, April 30th/May 1st, 2022, the paper model makers will be on site with a small exhibition. They meet here in the museum once a year and have very great and different paper models with them. Interesting what you can do with paper.

                There is a beautiful park to the north of the Technoseum.

                The sensation for me are the railway exhibits in the outdoor area on the southern edge of the building, which you can view at any time without paying an entrance fee.
                Free-standing red shunting lock from the 60s. Behind it, hidden under the building, is a postal car from the German Federal Post Office, a diesel-electric experimental train, a steam train from 1919 (very impressive!) and an even older narrow-gauge steam train, built by a factory in Karlsruhe.
