The 18-hole golf course of the Golf- und Landclub Lichtenau on the A6 near Ansbach is embedded in the charming, typically Franconian landscape. Biotopes, water and sand hazards complement the rural cultural landscape that has developed over centuries. A challenge for the scratch golfer; due to its variable tee options adapted to the respective skill, it is also pleasant to play for seniors and beginners. The restaurant in the Lichtenau Golf Club also offers rooms for overnight stays. Golf has been played here since 1978 and the new club house with rooms was built in 1995. One of the most interesting holes is hole 18: from a hill you play directly over a water hazard on the terrace of the clubhouse. Hole 6 is considered to be one of the most beautiful par 3 holes in Germany: you play, surrounded by coniferous forest, on a green defended by trees and bunkers.
