On the first stage of the Westweg, the Schwanner Warte on the northern edge of the Black Forest, after the Neuenburger Castle, with its panoramic view is one of the few highlights before Dobel. Taking a break is therefore a must. From here you have a beautiful view over the hilly landscape with meadows and fields north of the Black Forest.

From the wood-clad tower you have a beautiful view north to the Rhine plain and the Palatinate Forest.
The Schwanner Warte observation tower was built by the Straubenhardt Black Forest Association.

From the tower of the Schwanner Warte you have an overwhelming panoramic view over the foothills of the northern Black Forest and the Rhine Valley. Unfortunately, the tower was closed today (early January) and we could enjoy the panoramic view only from the ground.
