    But it is a good place to rest or as a shelter from the rain. The hut is nicer from the outside than from the inside.

            A hunting lodge built in 1950 can be found in the middle of the Neuchâtel jungle, which today serves as a rest area and shelter for visitors to the forest. Opposite the hunting lodge stood an imposing 850-year-old oak tree until it fell between June 19th and 20th, 2014. It was considered the oldest tree in the forest. Now you can follow the decay of the oak, which can last up to 50 years.
