The town hall is centrally located directly on the market place of Heldburg. The beautifully renovated old half-timbered house is now the mayor's seat and the seat of the VG Heldburger Unterland.
The following can be found on the internet:
On March 23, 1993, the six formerly independent municipalities of Bad Colberg, Gellershausen, Heldburg with Einöd, Holzhausen, Lindenau and Völkershausen founded the unitary municipality of Bad Colberg-Heldburg.
On January 1, 2019, the communities of Albingshausen, Gompertshausen, Hellingen, Käßlitz, Poppenhausen, Rieth and Volkmannshausen merged with the town of Bad Colberg-Heldburg to form the town of Heldburg.
This little town is worth a visit at any time. Many half-timbered houses in typical Franconian half-timbered style characterize the town, which is easily accessible by bike. The Heldburg Fortress with the castle museum is an absolute attraction.
