After stretching the approximately 1.1 t canvas, a Soviet team of specialists gave the canvas a primer using an old Russian secret recipe.
Tübke now began to paint the interior. It took him around 11 years (1976 - 1987). The picture is quite large at 1722 m² and has no beginning or end or left or right.

The huge circular painting and the realistic depiction of the scenes create an immersive experience that makes you feel like you are right in the middle of the action.
