The origins of the church lie in the pre-Reformation period. The church stood from 1945 to the age of thousands flood without use, the decay abandoned. It was then extensively renovated, and reopened in 2008 as a church.

The Gruna Cyclist Church offers cyclists rest areas both in a sunny location and in the shade. Unfortunately, the church door was locked, so we could only take a look at the church from the outside. What is a little misleading is the name. Actually, what I know from Radlerkirchen is that they are open at all times and there were usually freely accessible options for inflating your bike tires and sometimes even charging stations for e-bikes. There was nothing like that here...but there was a wonderful view of the hollow meadows.
