Madonna del Ghisallo is the patroness of local travellers and cyclists. The climb was made part of the Giro di Lombardia bicycle race and has often featured in the Giro d'Italia as well.

What can I say ... it is the sanctuary of cycling with the bicycle museum strongly desired by Magni and the small church full of historical relics. The Ghisallo climb is an integral part of the Giro di Lombardia. I prefer the climb from Bellaggio, then once you reach the top you can walk another 6 km uphill to the refuge, the famous Super Ghisallo.

A small chapel dedicated to the patron saint of cyclists. Contains an eternal flame for cyclists killed on italian road, and artefacts donated by cycling legends, including Moser’s hour-record bike and lots of signed jerseys

What binds cycling to Ghisallo is a long, compelling and full of passion story, witness to exciting challenges from the Giro di Lombardia to the Giro d'Italia. The Pass is located at an altitude of 754 m, from the Bellagio side, what we recommend, the ascent kilometers are about 10, but the climb will never seem so pleasant as the message scratched in the stone located in the central hall of the Museum: " Omnia Vincit Amor ”, love wins everything.

The Colle di Ghiselli and the Muro di Sormano are racing bike classics that are second to none, lots of cyclists, from old to young, from the old Bianchi museum bike to the 15,000 euro carbon machine, great route, good surface and the Muro the Sormano ....... ..incredible. Simply a must for a racing cyclist !!!
