            In 1907 the railway line from Elmshorn via Barmstedt to Bad Oldesloe was completed by the private railway company (EBOE). When it was decommissioned in 1973, a beautiful cycle path was created on its route from Henstedt-Ulzburg to Bad Oldesloe, which is accompanied by the longest fruit and wood nature trail in Europe.
            It begins at the old Blumendorfer train station near Bad Oldesloe and runs almost 24 km to Henstedt-Ulzburg along the old railway line. Over 160 standard trees carry different types of fruit and are described in more detail on information boards.
            You will not only find apple trees here, but also pear, cherry and plum trees. And depending on the season, you can try different varieties along the route.
