Just a hilariously steep lane on the National Cycle Route 42 up to Wentworth Forest from the Usk direction. I struggle to believe that anyone would actually be able to ride this!

This is a super tough challenge, have to dig deep to get up this one. Once it starts in earnest there is no let up; a good 600m with no easing of the gradient until the top.
NB. This road (Old Road) is actually not a section of the NCN42 route. The NCN42 route follows the Usk road just to the west. The blue NCN42 sign at the bottom of the hill is placed at the junction to Old Road and may cause confusion. Incidentally, the climb up the NCN42 is still a solid, the steepest bit at 17% being at the top.
