      The spa park is located in the southern part of the city and, rising slowly, connects the town with the adjacent forest on Poppenberg. The park was created between 1968 and 1974. Many structures from the time it was built, such as the rose garden, the play and relaxation areas, the ponds and the petting zoo, have been preserved and maintained to this day.

      Innovations and renovations have been made, such as the redesign of the ponds in 2015. But the spa park has also been expanded and modernized. These include the herb garden (2005), the flower meadow, the "teaching apiary", the barefoot path and the Kneipp facility. Brilon has been a recognized Kneipp spa since 2000.

      In the summer months, spa concerts are regularly held on the terrace of the "Haus am Kurpark".
