ハイキング
A beautiful large reservoir lake in Lopau with many leisure options. Well attended on sunny days. It is very nice to hike around, there is a balance path and a pedal boat rental.

Amelinghausen is a heath region by the water. This is characteristic of the Lopausee, located directly on the eastern outskirts of the village and thus in close proximity to the Kronsbergheide.
With beautiful views, a 2.2 km long circular route and varied leisure options, Lake Lopausee is the ideal destination for active relaxation.
Relaxing while sunbathing on the lakeshore is just as possible here as an extended hike or bike ride on the Queen's Path around Amelinghausen.

The Lopausee is a reservoir east of Amelinghausen in the Lüneburg Heath. The Lopau was dammed here in the 1970s by a dam to form a lake with a size of approx. 12 hectares. The dam is parallel to the road embankment of the passing B209.
