A very suitable place to take a look at the rock formations of the Odenwald:
Here, diagonally opposite the car park, a striking boulder protrudes from the ground in the forest, a first feature of the Böllstein Odenwald". The types of rock here deviate from the 3 main geological zones of the Odenwald. Yes, up here, on the hill, you can even see the riverbed of a prehistoric river that left its "footprint" in Böllstein millions of years ago.
