The Laxenburg Sisters of the Cross convent is a Roman Catholic monastery of the Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross in Laxenburg in Lower Austria.

The Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross (Sisters of the Cross) acquired the former Palais Kaunitz-Wittgenstein in 1935. The former Palais Schwarzenberg and the "Zum Stern" inn also belong to the building complex.

Laxenburg Monastery is a Roman Catholic monastery of the Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross in Laxenburg in Lower Austria. It was set up in 1935 in the former Palais Kaunitz-Wittgenstein and today houses an old people's and nursing home, a meditation and community center and the headquarters of the province of Vienna-Lower Austria. The monastery chapel was built by Ladislaus Hruska in 1958/59 and decorated by Josef Pabst.
Laxenburg Monastery is located near the Laxenburg Castle Park, which is the largest and one of the most important landscaped gardens in Austria. The castle park is known for the castle, castle park and Franzensburg. It is a popular destination for walkers, cyclists and families. In the castle park there is also a boat rental, a playground, a mini golf course and a restaurant.

Lion south runway. The two St. Mark's Lions - heraldic animals of the Republic of Venice - stood above the main entrance of the former Vienna South Station. After its destruction in World War II, one of the two lions from 1872/1873 was transferred to the imperial train station in Laxenburg during the opening of the newly built Südbahnhof in 1959. The second lion continues to watch over the area of the newly opened main train station in 2014 - the now third station building!
