The inventor of the bicycle, Karl Drais, was reburied here in 1891. I have marked the exact location on OSM. The grave forms the southernmost tip of field 4. (Karl has given up the title of nobility as a proponent of the Baden Revolution, but that is still not recognized today) karldrais.de The bike is of course left outside the cemetery. At the side entrance on Emil-Frommel-Straße there is a bicycle parking facility near the grave.

At that time Karl Drais invented much more than "just" the precursor of the bicycle. So he is also the creator of a formula for the general resolution of numerical equations of every degree, a notation, an improvement of the fire-extinguishers, a carriage without horses or even a high-speed typewriter, just to name a few.
