Crucible casting monument on the site of the former Krupp factories in Altendorf, today's ThyssenKrupp quarter. The semi-arched monument shows the production of steel using the crucible casting process. The monument was commissioned by the Krupp company in 1935, but was not completed until 1952 based on designs by the artist Artur Hoffmann.
