This small town of about 600 inhabitants has a lot of history behind it. Its name probably comes from the Latin "ambitus" which indicated a fenced place. In the old station there is a perfect bar for a stop on the route.

In the old station building there is a nice bar where you can quench your thirst and strengthen yourself. It used to be the train station for the town of Ambite, but today it is right on the Vía Verde del Tajuña. If you take a break here, a short detour to the town of Ambite is also worthwhile.
