Here the Weida flows into the White Elster. This is indicated by a mouth sign on a dike. The landscape drains through the tributaries towards the White Elster and together form the catchment area. When rain hits sealed surfaces such as streets, squares and houses, it pours rapidly through canals into the rivers. That makes the level rise quickly. Open areas and infiltration on site are better against flood risks.
Unfortunately, the path ends there at a dike. There is also no bank. Still very relaxing, away from the noise. You only hear the rush of the river and nature.
