This lake was created by gravel mining. On the western shore, where there is also a small bathing bay, there is an information board (at the entrance to the site) from the Heeren-Herkener Kiesbaggerei GmbH. The lake is now beautifully surrounded by grass and trees, and benches also provide pleasant resting spots.
