This family amusement park was built on a site where dinosaur footprints were actually found in the sandstone during quarry work. A visit is worthwhile because the exhibits have been created according to the current state of science. If more information is found, it will be exchanged. There is a lot worth knowing that is designed to be playful and discovery-friendly for the children.
Millions of years ago they were the absolute rulers of our planet - the dinosaurs. Long extinct, they left behind impressive traces of their existence. And in the truest sense of the word, because more than 300 of their footprints can be admired in Germany's largest open-air dinosaur museum in Münchehagen. These show that around 140 million years ago a herd of dinosaurs moved through the area on the edge of the Rehburg Mountains.

Nice, realistic family trip place.
Realistic, of course, with limitations. Because we are unlikely to encounter dinosaurs in our daily lives at the moment.
- However, these are so realistic that you can imagine that they would still walk among us.
