Monastery Loccum (Lucca or Luca) is a former abbey of the Cistercians in the town of Rehburg-Loccum, Lower Saxony, near the Steinhuder Meer. Based on a foundation of Count Wilbrand von Hallermund, it was built in 1163 as a subsidiary of the monastery Volkenroda in Thuringia, with which it connects today the pilgrimage Loccum-Volkenroda. Primarabtei is the monastery Morimond. Today, the monastery Loccum next to the monastery Maulbronn in Baden-Württemberg is considered the best preserved Cistercian monastery north of the Alps.
