The Linne weir and lock complex form a set of waterworks to regulate the Meuse in the Dutch province of Limburg, for the inland shipping that takes place there. The complex is located in the municipality of Maasgouw on the municipal border with the municipality of Roermond. Osen is a hamlet near the lock.
The complex consists of a weir, a hydroelectric power station with four turbines and a lock. The lock connects the Maas with the Maas located downstream after it has meandered around the Lus van Linne.

From Maastricht to Venlo there are only four (4!) bridges over the Meuse, plus a few ferries (most of which only operate during the summer months) - and the route over this weir and the lock just beyond!
There is only pedestrian and bicycle traffic here, it is very quiet, while the bridges or ferries are always busy.
