At Säls the path leads over the meadow up to your back and the path soon disappears into the forest. It is varied in a slight up and down between gnarled fir trees. But it will soon be over, it rises sharply, long legs have the advantage. To the west of a wooded cliff, the path leads straight up the slope towards Nägeliberg. In the steep terrain you traverse westwards at about 1800m in narrow cross passages until you have climbed onto a rib running south. Unfortunately, it goes down again to soon arrive under the rock face of the western foothills of the Nägeliberg. The rocky slope, which now has to be crossed, drops off incredibly steep. In the groove, in front of individual fir trees, the route climbs steeply to the right. The hands are often used, caution is required in front of loose rubble and care must be taken to ensure good pedaling. (Personally, I don't want to go down there, it always goes up and somehow and I find clumsy paths just great 😄).
And at the top of the Gocht there is a view of the beautiful karst area and a view of both sides; Lake Walensee and Toggenburg once 😍.
It goes down over karst blocks and loose chunks under the Glattchamm until you come to the Toggenburger Höhenweg.
