18.09.2018 - The size of the power plant is impressive - great. But the Freudenau power plant can only be crossed by bike or on foot; it is the tenth and last of the Austrian Danube power plants.

Visit us at the Freudenau power plant and experience an exciting look behind the scenes of power generation in 90 minutes. In the information center with its own cinema, various exhibits and a large power plant model, the story of hydropower and that of the power plant is told. Vienna-Freudenau is the tenth and youngest power plant on the Danube and has been supplying electricity from hydropower since 1998. The fish pass was the first of its size and trend-setting for ecological power plant construction. 😊👍👍
