    A falling apart old road with nice views, makes a descent climb on the gravel bike

      Very dangerous section if you're descending. There's a three meter drop right at the end of the paved section. Be extremely careful!
      Passable on gravel / MTB but roadies must avoid.

        A rollercoaster of a route following the buckled road as it disappears below Mam Tor - the Shivering Mountain - at the head of the Hope Valley. Traffic-free. Really fun to cycle and has stunning views.

        Deep cracks criss-cross the road next to perilous cliffs where the right of way has shifted vertically below where cars once drove safely along the main road in Derbyshire. Amazingly, the abandoned half-mile long section of road has become one of the county’s busiest tourist routes as cyclists, walkers and off-road bikers are being drawn to explore the challenges of the disused road.

              Be prepared to push your bike for a few parts, but much better than Winnats Pass which is very busy with motorized traffic.
