Listed chapel and ancient place of worship, built in the half of the 13th century by the Johannine monks as a chapel with a guest house. From the 17th century there was a hermitage behind the chapel. The last brother stayed here until his death in 1908. His statue is outside. In the chapel you will discover a beautiful pulpit from 1550. Be sure to pay attention to the 16th-century painting 'The Last Supper'.
As early as the middle of the 13th century, the hamlet of Helshoven was a regional place of pilgrimage where Our Lady of Peace was venerated.
The Helshoven Chapel, located on the old Roman road, was founded in 1254. A hermitage was later added.
The last hermit died in 1908.
The current chapel dates from 1659.
In front of the chapel there is a sculpture of Pope John Paul II.
